Do the other forums use phpBB?
If so, how do they do that?

If I want to search for a phrase on the forum, I use Google with a search such as:

Code: Select all

Re: Synchronization to rhythm track problem

After changing the "host", you will need to (re-) set up "Latency Correction". See: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/latency_test.html

Re: How does a file become a Project?

Test 1_data seems to be a FOLDER. OK, so that is part of the project. Do not change that folder, or its contents, in any way, otherwise you are likely to destroy the project. The other part of the project is the file: "Test 1.aup" The "Test 1.aup" file and the "Test 1_data&...

Are you using the system version of libmad or the one bundled with audacity's source? (I'm using the latter.)
I'm using the one in the Audacity source code.

have three files, called Test 1.aup, Test 1.wav, and Test 1_DATA
Please be precise. Is "Test 1_DATA" the exact name, or is it "Test 1_data", and is it a "file" or a "folder" ?
Do you understand the difference between a file and a folder?

I wish. When I click O K in the warning box, I'm back to square one. I don't have a Project, I only have a file.
What is the exact name of that file?

Re: Audacity's "default" mp3 decoder produces noise

The noise in bad.wav is very audible if you listen to it in headphones and turn the volume up a bit. When I listen to the imported test.mp3 file, I can hear a very slight hiss, but not that awful noise that you demonstrate in diff.wav. Are you testing it with my test.mp3? Yes. Seems like the signal fed through my rp360xp is not even being detected in the sound panel in the recording mode
You should see something like this (below), but if you don't then you need to resolve that before you can use the device as a recording interface.
