When you start the recording, allow it to run until the screen scrolls before you switch to the game on top. Does that make any difference?

MP3 format is unsuitable for seamless loops. It's a limitation of the format that there is always a little leading silence. Use a different file format such as WAV or Ogg Vorbis.

I assume that you were recording directly to the flash drive?
Attach the ".aup" file to your reply and we can look to see if recovery is possible.

When using Normalize in a Chain for batch processing, each processed file is normalized so that its peak level is the specified level.

If you make a Desktop shortcut to Audacity, you can drag an audio file onto the Audacity icon.

It's one effect at a time, though you can create a "Macro" to automatically apply effects one after the other. See: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/macros.html
