I am hoping to find a way to put it on the bar so I do not have to go to the menu each time.
You can't do that, but you can create a keyboard shortcut. See: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/key ... ences.html

Is there a typical correction amount for a USB mic?
Typically about 100 ms.

What is the actual problem that you are trying to solve?

Ensure that you are recording from the correct device (NOT "Stereo Mix" and NOT "Sound Mapper") in the device toolbar.

Re: Smpte timecode

"Jack Transport" would be nice too (http://jackaudio.org/files/docs/html/tr ... esign.html)
Short version: Jack Transport is part of Jack Audio System and provides sample accurate play / stop / repositioning / synchronisation of multiple media applications.

Re: Can someone help?

Next, I tried playing the tracks, but there is no sound. That shows that the two channels were identical, so now the inverted track completely cancels out the other track. We generally think of "mono" as being just one audio channel, but it can also be a 2 channel track where both the lef...

Re: Is it possible to isolate a specific frequency from a sound ?

For normal audio there is usually very little in the frequency range above about 16000 Hz, so a simple high-pass filter set to around 18000 Hz will give pretty good isolation.

Re: Numbering tracks

You need to split the recording into one file per song. See: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/splitting_a_recording_into_separate_tracks.html If you want the tracks to play in sequence, you can create a playlist, for example a "M3U" file (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M3U). Most media p...
