Try resetting the toolbars: "View menu > Toolbars > Reset Toolbars"

That certainly is a problem. The microphone will pick up sound from the speakers, so you can't avoid the backing track from being mixed in with the new track. You have to use headphones if you want to hear the other track while recording with a microphone.

When you export a file, the sample rate of the exported file is determined by the "Project Rate" (lower left corner of the main Audacity window https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/sel ... .html#rate)

Look in "Audacity menu > About Audacity" for the actual version number.
