Re: Cursor travel out of screen

Try upgrading to Audacity 2.3.0, and during the installation, select the option to "Reset Preferences".
The Audacity 2.3.0 installer is available via the Audacity website: https://www.audacityteam.org/download/

Re: Sliding the pitch of an audio file in a particular way

Unfortunately I need to slide the pitch of existing audio files which have multiple tones in them, while keeping the timing (tempo) unchanged. In that case you need to look for a "frequency shift" (rather than "pitch shift") effect. Unfortunately I don't know of one. It is possi...

Are these .au files possibly the same format as "au sun"?
No, they are different. They are AU-dacity data files.

Re: Mute while recording

I don't understand what you mean.

When you connect the headphones, what happens:
1) to the sound coming through the headphones?
2) to the sound coming through the speakers?
3) to the recording in Audacity?

When the headphones are connected, the sound cuts out for about a second then comes back.
Which sound "cuts out for a second then comes back"?

Re: Invalid Sample Rate

Try setting (in the device toolbar ) the playback device to: Kopfhörer (2- High Definition Audio-Gerät) and the recording device to: Kopfhörer (2- High Definition Audio-Gerät) (loopback) and the "Project Rate" (lower left corner of the main Audacity window) to 44100 . Then start something ...
