Re: No Instrument sound when using Behringer UMC22

it says device in use and the change does not take. It looks like Microsoft have made a total mess of this. Try this, but ensure that all other programs are closed before you start (my computer crashed on one of my attempts, even though this is a clean and fully updated Windows 10 testing machine -...

There is an option to set to 2 channel...however, every time I try to do so, I get a 'device in use' message and it does not take.
Where are you looking? Please post a screenshot so I can see what you are looking at.

Re: Custom FM/AM smoothly changes in time

I'm trying to implement/use part of your code in my plugin how should I mention this fact? It is customary to mark plug-ins as licensed under GPL v2 (https://www.gnu.org/licenses/old-licenses/gpl-2.0.en.html) or GPL v3. (Audacity is licensed under GPL v2). Typically this is done by adding the plug-...

Mouse behaviours are not yet customisable. There are several keyboard shortcuts related to zooming that can be customised. See here for info about zooming: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/zooming.html See here for info about customising keyboard shortcuts: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/key...

Re: only letting me use 2 mics when i have 4 mics

In the device toolbar , try setting the "host" to "WASAPI", then select the USB device as the recording device, and then see if you can set the number of channels to 4. Note that WASAPI may not be very stable on Windows 7. WASAPI was still quite new in Windows 7, and some Win 7 W...

Re: not responding

Can you identify what triggers this problem? For example, does it only occur when applying a particular effect?
Which version of Windows?
Which version of Audacity? (look in "Help > About Audacity")

Tried setting it to 2 channel stereo...but it will not (even with Audacity not on).
Do you mean there is no option to set the device to "2 channel stereo" in the Recording tab of the Windows Sound Control Panel? There "should" be an option to do that.

If Windows doesn't recognise the device, Audacity won't. Please try all these steps here:
