Re: Exporting Mulitlple Freezes
My problem is that Audacity (2.3.0) freezes before it exports all the songs. You really need to find out why that is happening. How much free space is there on the target drive? If this problem cannot be resolved, is there a way to export multiple tracks starting with track 12? You can temporarily ...

Re: Recording System Sounds
Jack should be started before launching the audio applications that will use it. It is sometimes necessary to tweak the setting in QjackCtl in order for Jack to run smoothly, so the first step is to experiment with QjackCtl and get Jack running reliably. The order to start the programs is: 1) Start ...

Re: ubuntu basics
Best to not clip at all. Clipping causes permanent damage that cannot be fixed. A peak recording level of 0.7 is fine - we generally recommend a peak level of around 0.5, but a little over 0.5 is perfectly acceptable, provided that you avoid clipping. After the recording is complete, you can normali...

Re: Window Media Player see it then it's doesn't
How about if I download the optional FFmeg library program? FFmpeg allows Audacity to import/export more file formats - it works as an encoder/decoder. I agree with Trebor that FFmpeg is unrelated to disappearing files. More likely it is a problem with Windows Media Player library. (I don't use Win...

Re: Remove Drum beats from Vocals
To save others the time and bandwidth of downloading the 7.5 MB MP3, here's a short clip of a relevant part:
I don't think it is possible to remove the drums from this audio.

Re: Window Media Player see it then it's doesn't
As Trebor wrote, those "errors" are not errors. It's just Audacity looking for the optional FFmpeg library, which is not currently installed on your computer. Try using a different media player, such as Foobar2000 (it may look basic, but it is lightweight, a better audio player than WMP, c...

Re: Why did Split shortcut get removed?
"Ctrl + i" is in the "Full" set of keyboard shortcuts. (The "Standard" set has less shortcuts so as to leave some keys available for users to set custom shortcuts.) So to get "Ctrl + i" back, you can either set it as a custom shortcut, or enable the "Full...
