Re: Note names instead of frequency values in spectrum view

Request for an option to label the spectrum graph (in both the spectrogram track and the spectrogram plot) with the musical notes displayed (C#4, Gb2, A3, etc) instead of the frequency values, along with some degree of horizontal graph lines to aid with understanding of the information. I've added ...

Audacity's (free) competitor OCENaudio can record more than 2 channels
So can Audacity if the device drivers support multiple channels.

Re: keyboard shortcut to insert silence

what is the keyboard shortcut for inserting silence. By default there isn't one, but in Audacity 2.3.0 you can set one in keyboard preferences (https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/keyboard_preferences.html) The command is just called "Silence". If you've not got Audacity 2.3.0, you can ge...

Re: Split Recording For Two CD's.

I do not understand how to move the second half of the recording underneath the first... You don't need to do that. There's an easier way. 1) Locate a good point to split the track 2) Click (single click) on the track at that point so that the play cursor (thin vertical line) is at the exact place ...

Re: Macro to change tempo to specific length

Is it possible to create a macro to run a macro? The Macros that you create in the "Tools > Macros..." interface: I shall refer to this type of Macro as a "normal" Macro. A "normal" Macro can call other macros. "Nyquist Macros" can call most other Macros, but...

Re: Output Record YES/NO status to a device in a booth.

Good to hear that you are taking so much care over your recording environment. I assume that you also intend to edit the recording?
So why not start the recording before you get into the recording booth. Even if it takes several minutes to get into the booth, that part can easily be edited out later.

Re: Batch Macro - missing features?

I think I can see how to do steps 3 and 6, but not 4 and 5. - Can anyone guide me, please? That's not available in Audacity 2.3.0, but I've added it for Audacity 2.3.1 which is due to be released very soon (probably February). 4. Click on the name of your track, and select "Set sample format&q...

Re: URGENT! Large audio file won't export

My guess is that you are trying to export as a WAV file.
WAV files have a size limit of 4GB. Try exporting in a different format such as FLAC, or split the recording into multiple parts (see: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/spl ... racks.html)
