Re: How Can I See dB On Vertical Scale?
Is it too late for the next Audacity? Yes. At this stage in the release cycle, it's bug fixes (at the Release Manager's discretion) and translation updates only. We were scheduled for the release candidate by now, but that has been delayed due to a problem with FFmpeg support in the Mac version (wh...

Re: Automatic noise reduction
whenever you add ANY amount of smoothing, it takes away from the main sound. This is definitely true, and in my opinion it is an error in the Noise Reduction implementation. This problem was introduced when "Noise Removal" became "Noise Reduction", though I don't recall which ve...

Re: Using Audacity to decrease the volume on an MP3
I have a playlist in iTunes that, when I play it, necessitates adjusting the volume up and down as it moves track to track. Some of the MP3 files were seemingly recorded at such a louder volume that they blast me when they play, and I have to rush to turn down the volume. Can I decrease the general...

Re: Automatic noise reduction
1. Add a search bar to find the command you need. I agree that this could be improved, but there is a lot of other new stuff related to Macros in the 2.3.1 version of Audacity (due to be released around February). I find it is easier to locate commands by resizing the Macro command screen to a much...

Re: Automatic noise reduction
I've not checked, but I would be surprised if Noise Reduction could be used in a practical way in a Macro (because of it being a 2 pass effect).

Re: How Can I See dB On Vertical Scale?
why can't I just see a standard bilateral scale (typically showing an infinity symbol in the center and 0 dB at the extremes at the top and bottom) against the same waveform that shows in standard "Waveform" mode? I asked the exact same question. There's really no good reason other than t...

Re: No audio streams exported when using Export2
I expect there would be potential permissions issues Yes, I expect so, though I've not actually tested that on a fully installed version on Linux. (my test version of 2.3.1 is within my "home" user space.) so the export was doing exactly as I asked and exporting exactly nothing :D Glad yo...

Re: add/alter wave colorways
This is not something I know much about (I'm more interested in the audio side of Audacity), but there's some documentation here: https://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Theming_HowTo
