Re: Flat line recording - used to work fine
Those log messages are "normal". They just say that the optional FFmpeg program is not installed. They are unrelated to the problem with the Super USB cassette converter. I'll close this topic as it is a duplicate of the one that I've replied to here: https://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtop...

Re: Flat line recording - used to work fine
Unfortunately these "Super USB cassette" devices are not very reliable. They are sold under a variety of names and are manufactured very cheaply in China. There's a fairly high chance that the device has died, but before you bin it, there's some simple tests that you can do: 1) Shut down t...

Re: Windows 7, Audacity Audacity 2.3.0, How do I merge audio tracks?
Also, is it possible to collapse multiple tracks together? You can mix multiple tracks together to make them into one track. See: "Mix and Render" on this page: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/tracks_menu_mix.html Once the tracks are mixed, you can't "explode" the mixed trac...

Audacity 222 version There is no such version of Audacity. The current version of Audacity is 2.3.0 and it is available via the Audacity website: https://www.audacityteam.org/download/windows/ What are you recording via the UCA 222? Where is the sound coming from? If you plug your headphones into t...

Re: Title Bar ?
You need to be more specific. Are you referring to the file path of the Audacity Project, or of an imported audio file? Note that an Audacity Project may contain audio from multiple audio files. By the way, there are currently two "2.3" versions of Audacity. I'm guessing that you mean &quo...

Try copy and pasting this link into your browser:
file:///Applications/Audacity.app/Contents/help/manual/man/chirp.html
If the "Chirp" page of the manual does not open, then you don't have the manual properly installed.

Re: Audacity Crashing when applying Macro/Chains.
I presume that you know that Noise Reduction is a two pass effect, and that it does not currently support custom settings in Macros. Try running each of the effects in turn manually to a long track and see if Audacity crashes. That may show where the problem lies. I can't reproduce the problem, but ...
