Re: command for "shift + tab" in chain command

meanwhile I have version 2.3 To avoid confusion, please use full version numbers. The current release version is 2.3.0. The current development version is 2.3.1. I assume that you are using 2.3.0. "go back to previous label" The macro command is "Move to Previous Label". There's...

Re: Need help in editing vocal tracks

When I record, it automatically makes a new track I'll stop you there. You have an old version of Audacity. The current version is Audacity 2.3.0 and it is available via the Audacity website: https://www.audacityteam.org/download/windows/ I'm using Audacity 2.3.0 I don't think so. Audacity 2.3.0 do...

Re: Chorus Director now too loud

I'd suggest that you try these two microphone placements and see which works best. Also you could perhaps turn down the director's mic a little. | | | ccccc | | ccccccccc | | ccc cccc | | | | D S | |______H4_________| | | | ccccc | | ccccccccc | | ccc cccc | | | | H4 D S | |_________________|

I always end up copying blank space and pasting it into the spot where I need it, but this is not always easy with a full project. Does anyone have an alternative to this method?
How about the Time Shift tool?

Re: Chorus Director now too loud

chorus members have complained to me that they can't hear the music behind her. Is that a piano I can hear in the background? Do your chorus members need to hear the piano in the recording, or is it just the choir that they need to hear more clearly? If it's the piano, or piano and choir that the n...

Re: Exponential Amplifier (Exponentiator)

During testing I found that this plugin has a problem with stereo tracks, where the right channel doesn't get normalised while the left channel does. The problem here is due to incorrect use of DIFF. To demonstrate the problem, I'll use an array of two numbers instead of an array of two sounds: (se...

Re: Windows 10 multitracking warbled sound

Thanks to a recent Windows update, it can be difficult on some machines to set the sample rate in the Windows Sound Control Panel - we have a note about that somewhere - I'll see if I can find it.... Found it here in the Audacity 2.3.1 alpha manual: https://alphamanual.audacityteam.org/man/Windows:...

Re: Windows 10 multitracking warbled sound

Oooh that's "lovely" :D There's probably a "sample rate" mismatch somewhere. Check in the Windows Sound Control Panel that the recording AND playback sample rates are the same as the sample rate in Audacity. Thanks to a recent Windows update, it can be difficult on some machines ...

Re: Editing mouth noise and breaths- help for a beginner

I am using the punch copy/paste plugin and I’ve found its easy to use however I can hear the transition when it goes to my room tone, That suggests that your room tone is not constant. The room tone must be constant and low level before any processing. You may be trying to repair mouth noises too p...

Re: Editing mouth noise and breaths- help for a beginner

Some amount of breathing is normal, and very common in commercial audiobooks.
If you think your breath sounds are excessive, please post a short sample so we can hear how bad the problem is (if bad at all).
