It doesn't happen in 100% of cases but pretty much every time.
So you can use the same command line arguments (same files) and Audacity will open successfully on one occasion, but on another occasion (with exactly the same arguments and files) it will fail?

Re: [Bug] Opening Audacity With Multiple Files As Arguments Leads To Crash

Both files are opened at the same time and them imported in parallel How do you see that happen? Are they very large MP3s? In the log it looks like they are imported sequentially: 07:11:59: File name is C:\Users\Dewernh\Desktop\a.mp3 07:11:59: Mime type is * 07:11:59: Opening with libsndfile 07:11:...

Re: Can we mark different sections on the same track with different colors?

I doubt that it would be "quicker" overall.
Labels can be created extremely quickly (Ctrl + B), or during playback / recording you can mark the current play position on the fly with Ctrl + M. How did you envisage setting the colour of a section of a track?

Shall I upload a sample?
Sure, that may help. Short samples (around 6 to 10 seconds) in WAV format may be attached directly to your post (see: viewtopic.php?f=49&t=72887)

Re: Error while opening sound device (WASAPI)

Its the USB adapter between the actual cords and the computer. Plug the cords directly into the computer and restart Audacity, and that should fix it. You are replying to a topic that is over 2 years old, and your "answer" does not answer the original question: Hey everyone, I am trying t...

Re: usb turntable not recording

This sometimes happens with the default record and/or playback settings. The defaults use PulseAudio (the same as the "Pulse" setting.
Look in the device toolbar and select the "hw" devices that correspond to your recording / playback device(s).

Re: Unwanted "squelching" on live recording

Audacity doesn't (can't) apply effects during recording or playback.
Check that all Windows Sound "Enhancements" are disabled. See: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/faq ... hancements

Re: Recording audio of "noise"

Many years ago, I had to record some sounds for an audio play, including the squealing sound of a bus applying its breaks. At that time my selection of microphones was very limited, and there was zero budget. I made a rigid tube out of chicken wire, about 7cm diameter x 1m long, and wrapped it in to...

Re: Extend Silences

Actually, I can't use sim, simrep, at-abs, cue, extract-abs, and abs-env well together even though I've tried some combinations. I think I've spent too much time. Considering that this type of effect is quite difficult to get right, you've done very well getting it to work so well. If I get time, I...
