Re: Audacity failed to read from a file in C:

Is the problem with one specific project?
Has the project been stored on a "cloud" (such as "OneDrive")?
Where is the project currently stored?

Re: Mass importing dual audio channel sources

I presume you intend to edit the videos, in which case it may be easier to get your videos into the video editor first, then export the audio from the video editor as a WAV file, then import the WAV file into Audacity for editing.

Re: funbles keyboard shortcut, now in permanant timeshift!

You have accidentally selected the "multi-tool". To go back to the normal "Selection tool", press the F1 key.

I could setup the tracks like I was before, as mono with the source being the Behringer UMC404HD, but now only get audio on one.
I'm not sure that I understand. If you set Audacity to record "1 channel (mono)" in the device toolbar, then you should see one channel being recorded.

Is there a way in the settings to "revert" to the previous system that was in effect in earlier versions of Audacity?
Select the "Multi-track" option for the Solo button behaviour: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/tra ... ences.html

Re: How Do I Extend A Note/Sound As Long As I Want It?

Extending a note without distortion. Select to highlight all of the note's current duration. Under Effects go to "sliding time scale/pitch shift". Set Initial Tempo Change to zero. Final Tempo Change determines the length of the note extension time. Moving the slider all the way to the le...

Re: Menu bar not avalable

What about other applications? Do they have their menus at the top of the screen rather than the top of the application window?
