Re: A better noise gate

Assuming ng.so is in the current directory, does this command print anything? LADSPA_PATH=. listplugins Only if I run the command from the ladspa directory. $ listplugins prints a list of all other LADSPA plug-ins that are installed. Also, what does this say? ldd ./ng.so ./ng.so: /lib/x86_64-linux-...

I uploaded an .so for Linux x86-64 here: https://github.com/feuerbach/noise-gate ... v0.1/ng.so.
Thanks, but testing on both Audacity 2.1.2 and Audacity 2.3.1 alpha, on Ubuntu 16.04 64-bit, the plug-in fails to register.

Re: Playback Crackling

If you still have this problem, a few things you can try: 1) Reboot your computer. 2) Ensure that Windows is fully updated (you may need to run Windows Update several times). 3) Ensure that your anti-virus is fully updated. 4) Ensure that there are no scheduled tasks running (such as disk optimisati...

Re: A better noise gate

Re: Recording Extremely Quiet

What's the difference between these two set-ups?

1) "I tried recording my guitar using a microphone and the audio was incredibly quiet."

2) "If I use my regular microphone fitted with my laptop the sound is just fine."

Are you trying to record at 96 kHz?
Does the problem happen if you record at 44.1 kHz?

Re: Audacity not recognizing PreSonus Firestudio on new MBP.

I AM getting an audio signal through the mic Where are you seeing that? I'm hearing it through the headphones (both connected through the powered interface (FireStudio Mobile). That should probably happen, independent of whether sound is getting to the computer, so that only tells us that your mic ...

Re: Error 9997 Invalid Sample Rate -

Open "Applications > Utilities > Audio MIDI Setup", and see if you can set the sample rate for the Yeti to 44100.

Also, check in "Sound Preferences" that the computer is receiving sound from the Yeti.
