So, are you saying that: 1) Audacity 2.3.0 works fine on your Laptop machine. 2) Audacity 2.1.2 works fine on your Desktop machine. 3) Audacity 2.3.0 plays very distorted at the wrong speed when recording on your Desktop machine.
