Re: Constant message of: "Audacity is already running"

There may be a setting to enable / disable this "loopback" behaviour.
Just a thought, if you try to look this up in the Zed manual, they may call it "through" rather than "loopback".

Re: Repeat recording issue

Your original settings were: host = WASAPI This is a relatively new type of sound system for Windows. It has some advantages over the older MME system, but it can be a bit quirky and difficult to set up. Also, some audio devices (most commonly older devices), can be quite buggy with this setting. Pl...

Re: Repeat recording issue

Your settings now: host = MME. MME is the default Windows audio driver. It provides good compatibility with most audio hardware. Recording input = Microphone (USB Audio CODEC ) "USB Audio CODEC" is the name of the Windows audio device driver for the Zed 16 FX mixer. So you have told Audaci...

Re: Real time guitar left ear only

You could try setting the line-in to "mono" in the Windows Sound Control Panel "Recording" tab. This may or may not work, depending on the sound card drivers. Some possible outcomes: It works perfectly, and Windows treats the Left input as a mono source. Windows won't let you sel...

Re: Repeat recording issue

As I can't see your computer, I'm trying to build a mental picture of your set-up. Have I got this right: Recording: Korg Kross 2 -> (analog connection) -> Zed 16 FX -> (USB) -> computer Playback: Computer -> (USB) -> speakers Please do this: 1) "Help menu > Audio device info". Wait for th...

Re: Apply Macro to Files Doesn't Seem to Change Them

I find myself wishing that we instead called it something like "Macro Output" or similar. I agree that would be better, but better still would be an option to specify the export folder in the Export command. Currently this is only available (for more than one file) when using Nyquist-Macr...

Re: Apply Macro to Files Doesn't Seem to Change Them

When batch processing files, you need to put one of the "Export" commands at the end of the list of commands in the Macro. When Audacity gets to that step, it will export the processed track, in the appropriate format, to a "cleaned" folder. (the folder is called "cleaned&qu...
