Re: Aud 2.3.0, Max OSX10.11.6, Recovering files

Somehow you have put the "EP003NateHarvey.aup" file into the "EP003NateHarvey_data" folder. It shouldn't be in there. The AUP file and the "_data" folder should both be in the same directory, alongside each other.

Re: raw files to audio batch

You won't be able to do that in Audacity. The problem is, that RAW data does not have file headers, so Audacity can only guess what the format might be. In the absence of file headers, it is impossible for a program to know with any certainty, what the correct format is. You could perhaps use anothe...

Re: Bug report - Macros not applying Change Pitch

I've committed a fix for this, so provided that the fix tests satisfactorily on all platforms, it will be fixed in the Audacity 2.3.1 release.

Re: Pre-recording. Can I monitor without hitting Record?

The easiest way to "start monitoring" the sound without starting the recording, is to click on the recording meter (it says "Click to start monitoring")https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/met ... #recording

Update: Testing with Audacity 2.1.3, I sometimes see GUI effects taking a couple of seconds to open...

so I guess I will have to trial and error to get the speed I want?
Do you know the exact speed that you want? For example, do you know what the change in length should be, or the change in bpm should be?

Re: First application of effect is being unnecessarily delayed

it's the equalizer GUI which takes too long to appear once selected from the menu, I do find that some GUI effects are sometimes slow to open on Windows 10, but this is not specific to the Equalization effect. When testing 5 minutes ago with Audacity 2.3.0, Equalization opened in about half a secon...

I don't see that on Linux with Audacity 2.3.1 alpha.

All the tracks stay in the same place. They never move.
Perhaps they are already aligned?
