It appears to be a bug in Audacity 2.3.0, which has been fixed for the next release of Audacity.
There is now a "release candidate" (a pre-release version) of Audacity 2.3.1 available for testing. See: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=103918

What did you set the "Monitor" option to in the dr-05x menu when you connected it to your computer?
