Odd man out is Noise Reduction

It's the only remaining "old type" effect. Leland updated all of the others but Paul was working on Noise Reduction at the time. There's a significant amount of "legacy code" supporting this one effect. It really could do with an update.

That link is correct. You just need to save the link target. Try right click on the link and then "Save As" (The exact steps depends on which web browser you are using. On Forefox it is "Right click > Save Link As") The name of the downloaded file should be "buttrlfo.ny".

How big is the file that you are importing?

Are you able to generate a 30 second tone ("Generate menu > Tone") and edit it?
