Re: Audacity 2-3-0 slow GUI and high CPU (Windows 8.1)

I haven't gone back to check if 2.3.0 is still slow It will be. Windows is not my operating system of choice, and unknown to me back in October last year, an update in Audacity 2.3.0 caused it to be significantly slower than previous versions on some machines (there was some performance hit for mos...

Re: Electrical Noise Recording Electric Guitar into Laptop/Audacity

Personally, if I'm recording an electric guitar, and the sound out of the amp/combo is good, then I prefer to record it with a microphone. The microphone placement can make a huge difference to the recorded sound, so some experimentation is required to find the sweet spot. Is recording with a mic a ...

it was a typo of me not writing NOT
A ha, that makes a big difference ;)

Do you have any experience with Python? A bit of experience with Python would be a big help for using mod-script-pipe (you won't need to be "expert" with Python).

Re: Binaural Spin using Sine table

Congratulations on successfully producing a working plug-in. When applied to simple tone signals, the effect seems reasonably convincing, but with more complex sounds (such as pink noise, or complex music), the effect sounds to me more like a side to side motion rather than "spinning". I t...

Re: Simple edit Issue for a newb

That looks like "wind blast". Does it occur at the start of words beginning with "P" and/or "B", and does it sound like a thump? If so, then the cause is due to the person's breath blasting onto the microphone. To avoid that, you should use a "pop filter" (als...

to convert and audio song 2 stereo sound and if it is 4 step by step instructions Could you say that in English. I'm unclear what you are asking. "True" stereo has different sounds located at different positions in the stereo field (some instruments/voices further to the left, and some fu...

Re: Unattended command line processing

As you are very experienced with C++, it may be quickest to build Audacity yourself from the source code. The SLNs are set up for Visual Studio 2017 (the free Community version is sufficient). You just have to add the mod-script-pipe option to the build list. Alternatively, if you post to the develo...

Re: How to match settings for recording in W10 and Audacity 2.13

There isn't an "Audacity 2.13". Do you mean "Audacity 2.1.3", or 2.3.1? (Look in "Help > About Audacity" for the exact version number).
