Re: How to Create Ultrasonic Subliminals?
The upper frequency limit of digital audio is half the sample rate. For a sample rate of 44100 Hz (44.1 kHz), the absolute limit of frequencies that are supported is 22050 Hz (22.05 kHz). In practice, the limit is a little lower (around 20 kHz). For higher audio frequencies (ultrasonic), you need to...

Re: HELP! Directories location problem, Audacity wont launch
You can reset the Audacity preferences by deleting the file "audacity.cfg" (the file is recreated with default settings on next launch of Audacity). See here for step by step instructions: https://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?p=356191#p356191 (In your case, you only need to delete ...

Re: Elliptic filter?
Not that I'm aware of.
I don't think there's much demand as in most cases, with digital filters, either a "Butterworth" or an FFT (See "Equalization effect") filter perform better.

Re: Add/Remove Plugins
I'm not disagreeing with you Koz, I'm thinking about how it could be implemented. What do you think the user is expecting when they dump a plugin into this folder? Yes, that's what I was suggesting previously: If plug-ins are put into an Audacity specific plug-in location, then they are enabled by d...

Re: Freeze when using Noise Reduction effect
So the Noise Reduction dialog opens, and then your computer becomes unresponsive to your mouse?
What happens if, at that exact point, you press the "Enter" key?

You could try the "Repeat" effect: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/repeat.html

Re: Add/Remove Plugins
Not what I said. Automatically load a plugin you just installed into the Audacity default folder. Sure, but two things that have to be considered: 1) How does Audacity know that you've "just installed" it? 2) Which "Audacity default folder"? (there are lots of folders where Auda...
