Re: VSTs exported from Faust always use defaults when applied

Is this an Audacity bug, or is it a Faust VST export bug? Short answer: I don't know ;) TL;DR Audacity's VST support is based on 3rd party open source VST headers (rather than Steinberg's VST headers, which have a restricted license). While this generally works reasonably well for a large number of...

Re: Trim to keep only the first 5 seconds of multiple OGG files with different lengths at once

But how do you cancel the whole process if you find you've entered some wrong commands in the Macros? You don't. You test your Macro on a small batch of files first, and don't set it off on a large batch until you are sure that it does what you want. In an emergency, you could force close Audacity ...

Re: ACC file time is changing to 789:57:13

Di you just update your ITUNES to the newest version? There's no way that I would ever choose to install iTunes on Windows. In my opinion, it's bloated, buggy adware; a parasitic tendril of Apple's empire. ;) The m4a files that do not import into iTunes correctly do play correctly in Media Player. ...

Re: Recording playback on Windows 10

Simply enable your stereo mix and make a few configurations on audacity This method is also described in the Audacity manual on the same page as my previous link: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/tutorial_recording_computer_playback_on_windows.html . However, "WASAPI loopback" is gener...

Re: Compiling Audacity on Chrome OS

it's a VM within Chrome OS that runs off of Debian. Do you mean that Debian is the "Guest" OS and Chrome is the "Host" OS? (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virtual_machine#Definitions). Do "aplay" and "arecord" work in Debian? (http://manpages.ubuntu.com/manpag...

Re: ACC file time is changing to 789:57:13

This iTunes problem apparently goes back to at least 2012: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/159437

What does Windows Media Player say about the files?

Re: Correcting individual vocal notes

Ok..I'm having trouble expressing what I need. And I really need it soon! I need a plugin, or piece of software, with which I can correct individual notes that I record and sing imperfectly. E.g., if I sing a C, but I accidentally go slightly sharp of C. I want to go back after it's recorded, selec...
