The problem is that the computer is missing some Windows updates.

The task, in the way that you describe it, is not possible in Audacity.
What are you actually trying to do?

Help us to help you. Which version of Linux are you using? What are you trying to do and what have you done so far? If you are following some instructions, which instructions? (please give a link) Which version of Audacity? Where did you obtain the source code? Any other information that may help us...
