Re: Any word on a 64bit version for windows?

No definite plans yet for Windows, other than that Audacity will eventually go 64-bit. We don't currently have the resources to produce 32 and 64-bit Windows builds, so when Audacity does become 64-bit on Windows, Audacity will no longer run on 32-bit systems.

Re: How to fix hum

Better, would be to work out where that 206 Hz tone is coming from, and prevent the problem from happening.

Re: How to fix hum

If you use Plot Spectrum (https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/plot_spectrum.html), you can see that the hum is at 206 Hz. 206.png The "Notch Filter" (https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/notch_filter.html) can mostly fix this (note that a bit of hum will remain for the first half second or ...

Re: Audacity Frozen stiff

I nearly forgot: The problem appears to be related to metadata, so a probable workaround: "Edit menu > Preferences > Import / Export" Un-check (de-select) the option: "Show Metadata Tags editor before export" You should now be able to export without freezing, but note: 1) If you ...
