I can't picture that. Please describe what that would do, how it would be used, and why it is needed.[email protected] wrote: ↑Thu Apr 11, 2019 6:18 pmI would like a Normalize Multiple similar to the Export Multiple command that splits on labels.

Re: Can't record multi-track
Check in the Windows Sounds control panel and check the sample rate settings (recording AND playback tabs) for the TASCAM US-144MKII. On some Windows 10 machines, recent updates have made Windows very fussy about the sample rate settings. Ensure that the sample rate settings (record and playback) ar...

Re: 2.3.1 Bug
You can stop the metadata editor from popping up by changing a setting in Preferences: "Edit menu > Preferences > Import / Export" Un-tick "Show Metadata Tags editor before export" However, I'm surprised that you say that it is too big - are you using a really tiny display? This ...

Re: Practical way to correct mistake in recording
You don't have to work with the entire book in one Audacity project. You could have one chapter per projects, which will keep the project a manageable size. It can be useful to master the book all in one project, but by that stage all the editing is completed.

Re: Exporting delay
Use a different file format.
Some lossy compressed formats have this extra bit of padding at the start, some don't. MP3, AAC and AC3 have this padding at the start. Ogg and FLAC don't. Also, lossless formats such as WAV and AIFF don't have this problem.

Re: Can't record multi-track
If you are using "WASAPI" as the "host" in the device toolbar, change that to one of the other settings (MME or DirectSound).

Re: Could someone pleeeaaaaase try to remove voice from this song?
The "Vocal Remover" effect works pretty well on the verses: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/vocal_remover.html The choruses are problematic because the vocals are spread across the stereo field. Vocal Remover will reduce the vocals in the choruses, but they will still be very noticeable.

Re: Download and Features
Not sure if I’m the only one with this issue but I’ve downloaded audacity following a YouTube tutorial. When I open the app the features appear in the middle of screen and are all bunched up and overlap together. You're not the only one. A few others have reported this same issue. To fix it, go to ...
