Re: Isolating
I want to isolate one particular voice/person out of many voices and delete all other voices. Is that possible? Short answer: No, not possible. Longer answer: Some software is able to perform sound separation based on localization of the source ("SSL"). Software to do this is fairly exper...

Re: Recover a corrupted saved file on audacity
Are there any audio tracks? The AUP file says there should be 3 audio tracks.Melendma26 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 13, 2019 5:20 amWhen I open up the file there is no audio that plays back.
What is a "black session"? Perhaps you could post a screenshot.

Re: Problem with Drag and Drop In Audacity
Audacity only supports importing audio files by drag and drop. It does not support drag and drop for projects.Roswell422 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 13, 2019 5:42 amI too am having this issue. It only started when I updated to the latest version. I'm currently running Windows 7 and version 2.3.1.

Re: How to maintain 96 Hz when converting DTS-MA to FLAC
Audacity uses FFmpeg to import DTS.
FFmpeg extracts the "core" signal from DTS, so that's what Audacity gets when importing DTS.
So the short answer is, no you can't directly import the lossless channels from DTS into Audacity.
Did you look at "eac3to"? Can that do what you want?

Re: accompaniment channel bleeding into vox
I think it's the Alesis mixer. So do I. Unfortunately that particular mixer appears to route audio playing from the computer, back into the main mix, so it gets recorded again. I used one once and could find no way around the problem without additional hardware. If, apart from this problem, you are...

Re: Niquist ACX check nightmare
Tried and downloaded the Fffeb What's "Fffeb"? Do you mean "FFmpeg"? If so, that has nothing to do with Nyquist or "ACX Check". FFmpeg is an optional component that enables Audacity to Import / Export additional file formats (such as AAC and AC3). Transferred the file ...

I don't see anything obviously wrong with that file. What exactly happens when you attempt to open the project?

a very rare requirement, but achievable via Nyquist Prompt Indeed, one of the main reasons for the Nyquist Prompt is to provide a means of performing unusual effects that are otherwise unlikely to implemented. A few other audio editors have a similar feature, such as GoldWave's "script" f...

Have you rebooted your computer lately? If not, try that (without restarting every currently running application)
