Re: Updated De-Clicker and new De-esser for speech

That's it :)

In the Terminal window, enter each of the following and copy the results into your reply:

Code: Select all

ls "Library/Application Support/audacity"

Code: Select all

ls "Library/Application Support/audacity/Plug-Ins"

Re: Updated De-Clicker and new De-esser for speech

"Terminal" is an application that looks like this (below). You should be able to launch it from "Launchpad".

Re: Problems with 2.3.1

Most of the points that you raise are known limitations for Audacity on macOS (and as you say, relatively minor issues). The "Hard Limiter" effect is no longer included in Audacity - it has been replaced by the new "Limiter" effect (which performs a similar job with much less dis...

Is there a button/shortcut for re-importing a file into Audacity?

Re: Playback Device Causes Drop Outs

Check in the Windows Sounds control panel, in both the Recording and Playback tabs, that the Focusrite Forte is using the same "sample rate" as Audacity. By default, Audacity uses a sample rate of 44100.

Re: Chain export settings (now Macros)

Macros currently only support exporting as mono or stereo. For multi-channel export you need to export manually (with "Custom Mix" enabled in Preferences: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/import_export_preferences.html) If you have FFmpeg for Audacity installed, you can export as AC3 us...

Re: Updated De-Clicker and new De-esser for speech

I'm not sure what you've done, but you appear to have Audacity's directory structure muddled.
Do you have any Nyquist plug-ins showing up in Audacity? For example, look in the Generate menu and you should see a generate plug-in called "Pluck". Is that there?
