Re: Export of Track Lengths
OK, so here's a plug-in version for you to try. Full functionality requires Audacity 2.3.0 or later, but it should still be usable in any version of Audacity from 2.2.0 onwards. In versions of Audacity earlier than 2.3.0, output to file is not supported, but everything else should work. There's no d...

Re: Can't record In WASAPI Mode!
I'm sorry to inform you carlox97, but Gale Andrews passed away in July 2017 . I'm not a Windows expert myself, but the recommended way to record audio playing on a Win 10 computer is to use WASAPI loopback. There's some additional information here: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/tutorial_record...

Re: remove and keep sections based on markers
The way that I would have approached this would have been with region labels rather than point labels (https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/label_tracks.html) If all of the parts to be deleted were marked with region labels (and the parts to be retained were NOT marked), then the procedure to remove ...

Re: transferring cassette to laptop
There's a series of tutorials here: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/tut ... to_cd.html
You won't need all of them, just look at the ones that are relevant to what you are doing.

Re: 2.3.1 Bug Change Tempo
I can reproduce the problem on Windows 10. The first selected track is correct. All other selected tracks are having the effect applied twice. I'm surprised that no-one else has reported this problem. It "may" be cause by the same bug as the one I mentioned in my previous post. I'll need t...

Re: Record from Crosley Turntable - think it's coming through only in mono
I've seen this problem reported before and it was something in the Windows settings, but I couldn't find that thread I can't find it either, but I think I recall the one that you are referring to. The setting was in the Recording tab of the Windows Sounds Control Panel. The problem was that the USB...

Re: Issue when open an audio/video file while another is played
I use Ubuntu Studio 18.04.2 LTS, 64 bit Linux, and Audacity 2.3.1. :? I thought that Ubuntu Studio 18.04 shipped with Audacity 2.2.1-1 Did you build Audacity from the source code, or are you using an unofficial PPA? when I open an audio/video file with Audacity and, at the same time, another app is...

Re: audio slapback when monitoring
You need to configure your hardware so that you are monitoring the audio input rather than the audio output. How to do that depends on the hardware. Some hardware (notably most internal sound cards) can't do that, in which case the best thing to do is not monitor your own voice. Sorry the answer is ...

Click on the name of the track in the panel on the left, then select "Split Stereo to Mono" from the dropdown menu: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/aud ... _menu.html

Re: Power Point slideshow/converting to video
About 4 months ago, when I would "create a video" from my Power Point slideshow, the audio would skip intermittently throughout the presentation. I'm guessing that if you play the MP3 before it has been mangled by the video converter, that it plays perfectly. Is that the case? After worki...
