Yes it's a bit awkward to use, but it does work.

I've checked the latest alpha version of Audacity (the development code) and the problem has been fixed, so you should see the fix in the next Audacity release.

Audacity does not yet fully support high dpi display settings.
If you set your Desktop default font size to a smaller size, then the text should fit correctly, but on a high dpi monitor this will make the text rather small.

Ensure that the USB device is selected as the recording input in the device toolbar.

Take a look in "Audio device info" and see if any of the available driver options support more than 8 channels (https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/hel ... evice_info)
