Re: Adding textual data to project
No necessarily to make it synchronized with music.. like in Karaoke Audacity can do that, but I suspect that it will be too fiddly for your needs. You can enter lyrics as "Labels", with one word per label, and then the "Karaoke view" will scroll the lyrics with a bouncing ball l...

Re: Track Labeling
Why do you need to mix them into one track rather than working on a multi-track project?
If you just miss out the mixdown step, then you can "Export Multiple" based on tracks and use the track names.

Re: RodeCaster Pro - Multichannel Input
Audacity is only able to record from one "device" at a time. If the RodeCaster Pro appears in the macOS sound settings as a multi-channel device, then Audacity should be able to access all of the channels available for that device. If the RodeCaster Pro appears in the macOS sound settings ...

Re: Prgram crashed when adding effects now audio disappeared
Unfortunately I think the show will be unrecoverable. I would recommend that you update Audacity to the current version, as the developers are continually making improvements to make Audacity more robust. Re: Highlighting instrument sounds
I would like to know if I can highlight or isolate instrument parts on Audacity. Usually "no". Instrument sounds usually have a complex mixture of frequencies that overlap the frequencies of other instruments. Audacity can "hear" frequencies and amplitudes, but has no idea whats...

Re: Audacity 2.3.1 crash on El Capitan 10.11.6
Thu May 09, 2019 1:34 am Could it be related to the audio interface disconnecting while the Mac sleeps? Yes it could. but it shouldn't cause Audacity to crash. If Audacity (or more specifically, "Portaudio") can't communicate with the device, it should throw an error, not crash. You would...

Re: Auacity crashes on Mac
Audacity "should" work with multiple projects open at the same time, but generally, if you find that you often need multiple projects open, that's often a sign that you're not approaching the task the best way. It's pretty rare for it to be "necessary" to have multiple projects o...

Re: Vibration shaker as Output
Are you sure that it has two coax outputs? The ESI website appears to say it has one coax and one optical https://www.esi-audio.com/products/u24xl/
