Re: Joining two mp3 files

1) Import the two files into Audacity.
2) "Ctrl + A" (select All)
3) Tracks menu > Align tracks end to end (the exact menu item depends on which version of Audacity)
4) Export.

Re: internal registration card

Ensure that you select the "loopback" option as the recording device, and that it matches the device that you are using to play the audio. For example, if you play through USB speakers, then it's the "USB speaker loopback" that you need to select as the recording device.

Re: Analog Allen & Heath ZED436 USB Out to Win 7 Levels

here is a nasty yet subtle hiss on my final mixes The USB Audio I/O on the ZED436 is 16-bit. If you're recording the main out, then you should aim for a peak level of around - 6dB (must always be below zero). The recording level in Windows should be set to maximum, so that (according to the A&H...

Re: Debugging error

Re: Could Not Decode File error

Not enough information to determine the cause, but that project is irrecoverably damaged. For future work, I'd suggest that you use the current 2.3.2 version of Audacity, which is available via the Audacity website: https://www.audacityteam.org/download/windows/ A couple of tips to avoid losing work...
