Re: Multiple Tracks - how to keep all edits but one!
Can you just explain how to use the time-shift from 'within'? What I mean is, when using the Time Shift tool: If you try clicking at point A, it will not drag all of the tracks because the click is not within the selected region (only the one clip that you clicked on will move. If you try clicking ...

How do you hear the web browser? For example, do you listen through headphones plugged into the Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 ?

Re: Moving a selection from one track to another
I need to do this split from track#1 to track#2 many times along the audio of track#1. In that case, use "Split New" for the first clip, then: 1) Select the next part that you want to move 2) "Split Cut" ("Edit menu > Remove Special > Split Cut" Alt+Ctrl+x) 3) "En...

Re: Error opening sound device
Ok! That has produced a range of toolbars That looks better :) That's one problem down... I notice there is no longer a loopback option in the Recording Device and Playback Device menu choices The loopback option is only for recording sounds that are playing on the computer. Is that what you are tr...

Re: Multiple Tracks - how to keep all edits but one!
So if I have 10 songs, there must be 10 Stereo tracks in the project? I had been using putting multiple songs on a single track just alternating between 2 or 3 so I could adjust for volume in each track. Yes you can have 10 tracks with one song per track, or you can alternate between a smaller numb...

Re: Filename of a selected audio track at export time
Do you think it's something which would be included in next release ? It won't be in the next release. Audacity 2.3.3 (the next release) is mostly about under the hood changes and bug fixes. I am not fluent in Lisp or Nyquist language Neither was I when I started. I'd done a bit of BBC basic many y...
