Re: Numbers keep changing in 'start and end selection'
I can't reproduce the issue. Try updating to Audacity 2.3.2. It's available via the Audacity website: https://www.audacityteam.org/download/ then I go to the end selection box How are you doing that? as soon as I enter a number How are you doing that? Which time display units are you using? What is ...

I doubt that we are going to be able to work out very quickly what the problem is with your computer, so as you're in a hurry, some other free programs you could try: https://www.wavosaur.com/ https://www.ocenaudio.com/ and a couple that I've not used, but are apparently free: https://www.ashampoo.c...

Re: how to copy / paste a large audio file

Re: Substitute character in a string
OK, I think I found the trouble. Everything went fine when I change #space and #- by #\space and #\- . That's correct. This is a very old topic, and I guess that during one of the forum updates over the years, the backslashes got lost in the forum's database. I don't think these code samples would ...

Re: Mixing Live Tracks - volume issue during transition from track to track
and what is it normalized to? It's normalized to an equivalent loudness of moderately loud pink noise. somewhere i heard that the target is 89db. Is this true? I've no idea what you are referring to. what If I have multiple songs on a single row (track)? If you want each song to be the same loudnes...

Re: Set up a folder for all Audacity projects?
Try this, but please be careful with it. I've only tested it on Linux. If it works for you, test it thoroughly before relying on it. saveas.ny This plug-in needs to be installed in the same way as other Nyquist plug-ins (see: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/installing_effect_generator_and_analyz...

Re: Mixing Live Tracks - volume issue during transition from track to track
So, now that I have it all ready, am I to analyze and normalize each track one by one or do I select all tracks in the project at once? To use the ReplayGain effect, you must select ONE song, and apply the effect to it, then select the next song and apply the effect ("Ctrl + R" to repeat ...
