Re: MP3 Has no sound

Windows 10 Version 2.3.2 I have the same problem. I'm sure it's a silly mistake but I can hear the sound within audacity but I cannot hear any sound when I export to MP3. The file length appears to be correct - there is just no sound in the MP3 file If you use a USB recording device, see this artic...

Re: Failing when trying to export to MP3

Which version of Audacity do you have? (Look in "Help menu > About Audacity")

Where are you trying to export to?

What happens if you try to export as a WAV file and give it the name "test.wav"?

Re: Code to Select Audio

Your "highest peak" isn't actually the highest peak. Your "(setf mypeak" code sets "mypeak" to the average of the peak level of the left channel and the peak level of the right channel. If one channel is silent, then "mypeak" will only be half the actual peak ...

Re: Code to Select Audio

Nyquist is traditionally written in lower case, though it is (mostly) case insensitive. A notable exception to this is "aud-do" commands (https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/nyquist_macros.html) AUD-DO sends an Audacity "scripting" command as a string. The command in the string i...

Re: where do I find the noise gate plugin

I am trying to download the Noise Gate plugin for audacity, however I am receiving this message.(Screenshot attached) You need to download the file without opening it. The fact that the screenshot says "Noisegate(3).ny", it looks like you have already downloaded the file several times. Lo...

Re: Code to Select Audio

I’ve found on old thread from 2012 about Information passed from Audacity to Nyquist. Has anything come from it? Yes. Audacity now makes a lot more information about the project available to Audacity. This is done through "global variables" and "property lists". More information...

Re: Multiplying mix [CLOSED]

I'm locking this topic as it has deteriorated into nonsense. "Quadtereo", "Octereo" et al are not real words. They are just made up by Piotr Grochowski. For anyone interested in "Quadraphonic" sound, there's an article on Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quadrap...

Re: Multiplying mix

Are hexadecereo tracks what professional music designers use all the time? "Hexadecereo" is not a term that any audio professional would use. I'm assuming that when you write "hexadecereo tracks", you mean "16 channel tracks". Some software does support multi-channel t...

Re: Posting music to Facebook

It is not possible to directly post music to facebook. The easiest way to post music to facebook is to upload your music to an on-line service such as YouTube or SoundCloud (or other) that provide a "share" option. You can then "share to facebook". For others replying to this que...
