Re: Audacity timer record progress

Try updating to the current 2.3.2 version of Audacity. (There have been numerous improvements to Timer Record since Audacity 2.2.2).
The current version of Audacity is always available via the Audacity website: https://www.audacityteam.org/download/windows/

Re: File corruption after exporting to wave files?

I noticed, incidentally, that my attempt to also “save it as” a file on a directory in a flash drive was not successful. I would recommend saving to your hard drive rather than a flash drive. If you wish to keep a backup copy of the project on a flash drive, then try using the option "Save Los...

Re: File corruption after exporting to wave files?

One of the earlier versions (before 2.3.2) had problems with Save As:. That was version 2.1.3 do you think I should download a later Audacity version which does not have “save as” issues? You've not got the version with the "SaveAs" problem, but you do have an out of date version, so I re...

There is a "buffer length" setting in the devices portion of preferences. Is that it?
Yes that's it.

This is on Windows 10, but it's very similar on macOS

Re: I can't Rec launching a musical base from audacity

I started recording to start the base and instead of giving me a second track where to see my voce coming from the microphone, this my voice followed the karaoke base in the same track without to listen any sound. To record to a new track, hold down the "Shift" key while you click the Rec...

Re: Orphan Block Wiped session

Flippant Yes, but with a very worthwhile "best practice" message for anyone working with computers. Computers are extremely complex systems, with billions of components (NVIDIA's GP100 Pascal GPU consists of 15 billion transistors). There's an awful lot of things that could go wrong, and ...

Re: Easier to see selections

"no new menu items and no new preference items" A bit of an exaggeration ;) though there has been, for a long time, a resistance against "feature creep" and "preferences creep". While it's probably not a problem for a personal version of Audacity to add new menu items ...

Re: WASAPI Loopback Record Bug

Topic moved to the Windows forum. When using WASAPI, Audacity will wait for audio samples to arrive. That's normal. If there's no active audio stream, then there's nothing to record, so Audacity will just sit there, waiting... If you want Audacity to start recording before the application that you w...

Thank you and I don’t mean to sound rude but your solution does not sound practical
Nobody likes backups. There's even a song about that: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l7-6m2cE6JM
