Re: I don't seem to have a 'line-in' to record from
Hmm, not sure I can find that one. Thanks for the pointer. I had a look on the Creative Audio Console and saw the decoder was set to built-in decoder rather than the S/PDIF decoder, which it says would require an external decoder. The reason I mention this is that one of the recording options I get ...

Re: I don't seem to have a 'line-in' to record from
Hi Dave, that's really interesting - sadly it didn't come with a 'drive' to slot into a bay though, I've not seen it mentioned in any of the reviews of it either - if only it did and it might have solved the problem!
Thanks for posting though, cheers.

Re: I don't seem to have a 'line-in' to record from
I've got the Audigy listed there, as well as the Audio and Audio Legacy Codecs. Sound about right?
I'll have to have a root around and try find the original drivers and software and reinstall it all and see where that gets me.
Thanks again

Re: I don't seem to have a 'line-in' to record from
Hi Koz, thanks for the help. I know people who are good with computers but not really on the sound card/recording front. Well in Audacity and WaveStudio I tell it to record using the Audigy 2 ZS as the recording device. I installed everything when I got the card but I might try taking it all off and...

Re: I don't seem to have a 'line-in' to record from
Thanks for the reply, Well the Creative package includes something similar to Audacity called 'WaveStudio 7', but it doesn't let you choose a recording device ala Audacity, instead you choose between your sound card (My Audigy 2 ZS) or 'Automatic'. Anyway recording for this has similar distorted poo...

I don't seem to have a 'line-in' to record from
Hi all, I'm using an SB Audigy 2 ZS sound card, and I'm trying to record an LP onto the computer. It's only on a portable vinyl player so I don't expect the quality to be amazing, but when I'm trying to do it the only way to record it seems to be with the microphone option. I used to do it on line i...
