please help!
is it because I have snow leopard on my computer? has any one gotten an external mike to work on their mac w/ audacity who is running on snow leopard!?

when i go into system pref my m audio does not show up. it is powered on and connected to the computer correctly though. It just says "audio line in port" and if i select it no levels show (blue bars).

I cant get audacity to acknowledge my inbox as an input source. in the drop menu on the upper right i only have the option of internal microphone. I cant get audacity to acknowledge my m audio fire wire solo inbox. Im using it to try and run an external mic into the program for better recording. When I go to the drop down menu in the upper right I only have the option for internal mic. how do I get my inbox to work with audacity?!
