Re: using Presonus Firebox, can't get input 2 to work
During the install of the newer drivers they ask you if you want to udate the firmware. If you don't know, the firmware rollback is available on presonus site http://www.presonus.com/faqdownloads/FireBox_firmware_rollback.exe FYI, this page currently comes back with a "not found" error...... Duane

Re: using Presonus Firebox, can't get input 2 to work
I just talked with Presonus tech support and they said that the Firebox can work only with ASIO Drivers. Re: External Interface compatibility
Mixing and matching different equipment and programs for different parts of the recording process is often a good way to get the job done. I usually use a hard disk recorder, or a Zoom H2 for recording, Audacity for editing and Gnome Wave Cleaner for cleaning up recordings. Eeyup, I play that game....

Re: External Interface compatibility
Something about "That's not a bug, it's an undocumented feature!" comes to mind.....kozikowski wrote:<<<It looks interesting and appears to be pretty much a newly written recording software package.>>>

Re: External Interface compatibility
Yeah, I totally agree with the extra backup copies. Apparently you can put a crapload on one of those discs. In the meantime......

Re: External Interface compatibility
so then am I reading correctly that the external files, etc., is only an issue if you have NOT saved the project? I think that's missing the real issue. Audacity has 2 methods of importing audio files. 1) To copy the file into the project - this is the safe option and importing compressed (for exam...

Re: External Interface compatibility
On my desktop I have a folder called Audacity Projects, and it has sub-folders for each different project - these sub-folders contain all of the stuff generated for that project. My hope was to simply duplicate the folder onto optical disc be that CD or DVD or whatever works.....that would serve as...

Re: External Interface compatibility
And I have posed the question about the ASIO licensing thing elsewhere to see if that's still a problem, hoping I might pick up some additional info. from others........
It's odd, but the posts seem to have largely dried up around mid 2007.... ?????
