I updated to the latest version but still cannot figure out what is wrong. I am attempting to paste in a screen shot to show what it looks like. I am not sure if it went or not.

"Pops" During Playback
I recently used Audacity to get a concert I had recorded with my jazz band at Miami (OH) onto a CD but found that no matter how slowly I burned the CD, there were loud "pops" in spots. Re: No Playback
I didn't realize that I had it paused and once it was unpaused, it worked fine.

This had made me wonder and your post confirms it. You have it 100% correct as I imported the aiff track into Audacity and then ejected the CD the aiff was on. I will put it back in and get to work.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: No Playback
Thank you for your swift reply. I did check in the system prefs and the sound is correct. All the sounds work normally and have right along. What I had done was to import the aiff from the CD it is on. I notice that when I use command-I for info, it says there is only something like 600 KB in the do...

No Playback
I am new to Audacity and need help.
I imported an aiff file of a concert and wanted to get rid of all the dead time one it. When I try to play it, I get no sound even though the cursor is rolling right along as it should. any ideas? Thanks.
