Re: Loop set to #/times
Good Morning. Hmm - I just want it to repeat "x" number of times for the selected section, during playback only, and not create additional 'repeats' during the track itself. This is a memorization method that I am using for each line/stanza/verse, and I have labeled each section in the track itself:...

Loop set to #/times
Good Afternoon,
I am using audacity to repeat a section (via loop) of stanzas for a poem. And I wish that there was a way to set the number of repetitions for the section set to loop.
Thank you.

Re: error unable to open target file
While using the lettercount.com , I was curious if it included spaces and punctuation, and saw this note at the bottom of the box where you type in the text: "Twitter's character limit is 140. An SMS text message limit is 160. Google AdSense ads can have 25 characters for the title, 70 characters fo...

Re: error unable to open target file
Thank you Mr. Steve. The numbers and "dots" are part of the label name which indicate to me the particular " page # . row number . cell number " of the particular sound clip being recited, so that I can actually match it up to the corresponding jpeg in a flashcard based program. I have used this for...

error unable to open target file
Hi all. I posted this question in another thread, but it is the wrong version of Audacity and Windows. So I thought I would copy it to the correct board: Re: unable to open target file for writing by ANMB » Tue Dec 28, 2010 2:06 pm I am having the same issue; using Audacity 1.3.12 beta on Windows 7 ...

Adjusting Pitch to Sound Like Children's Voices
Dear Audacity Forum Members, I need to create a copy of a recording, and adjust the pitch to sound like children's voices repeating after the Sheikh who is teaching Qur'anic recitation. I know how to change the pitch - but I don't know what key to use or the range. An example of what I am trying to ...

Re: Linking Track Labels and Audio Track;
Dear SteveTheFiddle, I think I figured out a solution! :D Using the "saved as" version of the original track to practice on: 1. I created a new stereo track and copied the section where two sound clips are one wavelength (because there was no distinct breath in between the pronunciation of two diffe...

Re: Linking Track Labels and Audio Track;
Dear SteveTheFiddle, I thought about using 1.2.6 to access the linking feature again - however, it won't work on Windows 7 platform: "Windows® 7 is the latest version of the Microsoft Windows operating system, officially released on October 22, 2009. It is based on the previous Vista version of Wind...

Re: Linking Track Labels and Audio Track;
Dear StevetheFiddle, I just now saw your response because I must have not checked the "notify me" box before. I attempted your suggestions and made screen shots - but I don't know how to embed the images within the post itself? I noticed the button "Img" above this text box I am typing in - but unsu...

Re: Linking Track Labels and Audio Track;
Dear Mr. Steve, I figured out how to highlight a very small section for both the track and label to insert a silence for both simultaneously - but it shifted / misaligned everything after it, once I readjusted the label to include the new silence in the track. What is your advice, please? (deep sigh...
