p.s. Just a tip from my end, in case anyone else ever has to do this: attempting to add all 1200-odd .au files to the project at once kept crashing the program, so I'm doing it a hundred at a time and it's working fine.

update: PRAISE THE LORD, IT IS WORKING!!! I am eternally grateful, stevethefiddle. You completely saved my ass, and my editor will not have to murder me after all. Thanks again to everyone for all the suggestions and help!!

Um... The "export as .WAV" option is grey, just like almost everything else in the "File" menu (see above). One more thing: I've discovered that I can open saved .aup projects, and while most menu options are available on these, the "play" and "record" buttons still won't work.

Okay, I'm having the same problem, and it is very serious, as I've just recorded a phone interview with Audacity and now I cannot listen to it or save it. Here is what I CAN do, by menu: FILE: New, Open, Recent Files, Exit. Everything else is greyed out. EDIT: Undo, Select, Selection Save, Selection...
