After they were downloaded I neglected to point Audacity to the files, I assumed it would set itself up.
Thanks for that, as I said im not very tech.
Works perfectly now. Im running it on Vista Premium.

Its all sorted now, went and got a cheap USB ProSound Mic and it has no interference what-so-ever, good rich sound to it as well :) The only problem is I have to unplug the USB in order to hear the playback as nothing comes out of my headphones (no im not using the logitech ones lol, I have a decent...

Hello, sorry to highjack the thread but I can get a music track imported at all. I get: Audacity attempted to use FFmeg to import audio file but the libraries were not found, go download the FFmpeg libraries (yes, im paraphrasing lol) I did that and still nothing. Any advice for a not very tech pers...

Hey, thanks for the advice, I have already tried that though. I can silence the time between the actual vocal but there is still the issue of white noise behind the vocals themselves so it is not a "clean" audio track. Would it help if I had a better quality mic? Im using a logitech headset, works r...

I have an issue with white noise under the vocals on recordings.
Is there anyway to remove/reduce this so the track is silent except for the voice?
