Audacity Forum

I am running Win XP, build 2600, SP3. This may very well be related to 'installer' issues. I did not have to create another account.

Installing v1.3.9 did the same thing:

"Access violation at address 0041510A in module 'audacity-win-unicode-1.3.9.exe'. Write of address 00400000"

HOWEVER, I then downloaded the ZIP and Audacity works just fine!

Problem solved!!

That CFG file did not exist in that location. A WIndows search did not show any such file anywhere. I did perform a WIndows uninstall so perhaps it deleted this file. I also have admin status on this machine so that should not be an issue. Other ideas?

I get this when installing v 1.2.6

"Access violation at address 004097A6. Write of address 00400000"

I have tried older versions with the same results.

Ideas?
