I have an eight-track recording, and need to cut out "dead air." I can't find a way to select all 8 tracks and then cut a block of useless sounds out of the mix. I can do each track separately, but not all of them vertically. Or should I just do this after the mixdown, when I have only two tracks? T...

I just got a Presonus firewire interface. It has 8 mic inputs and since I'm recording a bluegrass band in real time, I'll be using them all, simultaneously.

Can Audacity handle this? And if so, how does it link mic inputs to tracks in the software?
