Re: How to add a carrier frequency
Just to complete the picture, I've managed to capture the original remote and the generated signals. GenuineSignalCapture.gif GeneratedSignalCapture.gif Note the generated signal was much weaker so the IR sensitive diode for capture was only a few mm from the IR LEDs (so the signal was slightly unba...

Re: How to add a carrier frequency
Here you are: Signals.gif As you can see from the close up (lower images), the generated waveforms (upper images) aren't much different anyway (96000Hz samples). Waveforms: SquareResults.gif SineResults.gif I've put the cursors over 10 periods, and we get 1.88kHz (so 18.8kHz) which is close. Perhaps...

Re: How to add a carrier frequency
The signal I've got is something like this: OriginalUp.gif The signal I'm after is this (using the manual method, applying silence to sections below 0): ResultantSignal.gif I've managed to chop the bottom off the original using invert, (sum s 1) and the hard limiter etc. I then get a very similar si...

Re: How to add a carrier frequency
Perfect! I've just tested my 19kHz sample signal and it works. If you are interested this is what I was trying [ http://jumpjack.wordpress.com/2008/05/22/remote-control-3-editing-waveform/ ], although I didn't think it would work very well (thought I would need to amplify the signal, hence hoping a ...

Re: How to add a carrier frequency
Thanks for the reply Koz. As suggested installed 1.3.x and tried the vocoder, but doesn't look like the modulation goes above 100Hz (if I am understanding the options/process correctly), plus the I'll need a digital modulation signal. Unfortunately, as you say I'm not really processing audio so the ...

How to add a carrier frequency
Hi, I have had a look but I have not found the answer to this, hopefully someone can help. I have a digital signal (a sampled IR remote signal) which I need to add a carrier signal to (38kHz), so I would like to be able to combine a generated tone with the digital data to produce a modulated output....
