Files can be downloaded quickly and easily to a PC or Mac via Hi-Speed USB and integrated in the office workflow th...

Re: Submit your EQ Curves
As regards writing to the root directory, I don't know what's the reason for the restriction. Is it only an issue on Windows, or is there a similar issue with Mac or Linux? I do notice a footnote in the Nyquist 2.37 manual which says that the setdir function is not a standard XLISP 2.0 function. I'l...

Re: Submit your EQ Curves
Writing to a root directory e.g. E: is rejected on my Win7 system; it requires a folder inside E: Similarly, my XP system rejects writing to C:. I assumed it was because I wasn't logged in with an administrator account and access was restricted, but maybe there is another reason. In any case, I thi...

Re: How to advance cursor to aribtrary point
Upgrade to 1.3.12, which you can download from here: http://audacityteam.org/download/ It has tools at the bottom of the project window which allow you to select a section of audio by entering the beginning and end times in minutes and seconds, (down to thousandths of a second). When the selection i...

Re: Submit your EQ Curves
Good point about the functions. I'll tidy that up. How about leaving that text input widget empty by default as an optional control. "Leave blank to output to home directory" Yes, but how do you fit that, plus the widget title, into 27 or so characters without being too cryptic? (I've said 27 becaus...

Re: 1.3 refuses to open files saved with 1.3.
Are you clicking on the .aup file in Windows Explorer to open it? If you do that, and you have 1.2 on your machine, (even if you also have 1.3), it will try to open it in 1.2 because the .aup file extension is associated with 1.2 in the Windows registry. The registry entries can be deleted, BUT DON'...

Re: New plug-in: Tone Generator
Strange how I never noticed that until now!stevethefiddle wrote:Once a plug-in has been run with debug it seems that it will run as debug each time until Audacity is restarted.
I'd call it a bug. I don't want to have to click to get rid of the Debug window unless I looked for Debug output when running the plug-in.

Re: Audacity interface naming question.
The manual refers to it as the Track Panel and is, I think, consistent in that. However, the name doesn't give any indication of what the panel does.
What about "Track Control Panel"?
