Adding 5 seconds to each track on "Export Multiple" was one.
Oops! didn't read all of your post. I think that was the only major one.

Re: Break up audiobook into sentences, have each repeat N ti

You can do it with region labels. (This is in 1.3.10. I haven't tried it in 1.2.6) Assume you have your audio track and label track below it, and you have ticked "Editing a clip can move other clips" in Preferences. Select the audio you want to copy. CTRL+C Down arrow. CTRL+B Write label name. Enter...

Yes, Audacity will do what you want, and very simply too.

You can select a piece of audio, and copy and paste it in the same way as you do in a text document.

Have a look at this: http://manual.audacityteam.org/index.ph ... =Edit_Menu

Re: Opening files

Those are Windows Media Audio files, and Audacity can't read them. You will need a file converter such as Super http://www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html or Switch http://www.nch.com.au/switch/index.html to convert them to WAV files which Audacity will recognise. Are they the same files you mentioned bef...

Re: Saving and Recording Errors

I'm pretty sure the disk space is not full beacause I delete almost all of my other songs to hopefully make room fot this one If you're that tight on disk space, you almost certainly haven't enough. It was worked for a while, then started showing problems a few weeks ago. That could be because you ...

Next, the answer to your question depends on which version of Audacity you are using, what type of computer and on which operating system. If you post those ...

Re: Low Sound from Mic

If you're using a laptop with windows XP (and probably on Vista too), there should be a tick box hidden in Control Panel which gives a 20dB microphone boost.

Control Panel > Sounds and Audio > "Audio" Tab > Sound Recording > Volume > (Recording Control Window) > Microphone > Advanced

That would be 1.3.10.
(Slip of the finger, I'm sure.)

Re: Opening files

Thinks again... I believe some CD ripping programs will put a .cda extension on the files they rip from CDs. How big are those .cda files, and can you play them with Windows Media Player or any other application? If they are only 44 bytes, they are CD header files. If they are big (several megabytes...
