Re: Really fast (50x) playback speed possible?
Should I think about modifying the transcription toolbar and playback speed code? That's one of the beauties of open source software. If you know a bit about programming you're free to modify it to suit your own requirements. Unfortunately I don't think that I'll be able to help with that as I'm no...

Re: Intermittent Recording Dropouts with Tascam US 122
Hi Bob! As you probably already knew, there was nothing "interesting" in the Log. Just so you don't feel singled out... http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=60669 . I have seen a couple other posters with the playback problem since I have been following this thread. Maybe...

I would be interested in the log...rj7500 wrote: Experiment 1- Imported 5.5 minutes of CD track. The first playback revealed a number of non repeatable Bang Overlay Complete Audio. A second pass of the same music revealed no Bang Overlay Complete Audio.

Re: Intermittent Recording Dropouts with Tascam US 122
OK, from the specs, you have plenty of horsepower given that you are already restricting as much multitasking as possible. I recall seeing a (vaguely) similar problem once which was cured by using a different USB port on the computer. As a meter of curiosity, look in Task Manager's Processes tab for...

Re: Intermittent Recording Dropouts with Tascam US 122
Ok, I imported 13 minutes of pre recorded music from my library. Between 0 and 30 seconds in I noticed 3 unrepeatable glitches, all was fine until the last 40 seconds when I noticed 2 more. What was the blocksize in use during this test (might not affect playback)? I want to see a Log from after pl...

Re: Intermittent Recording Dropouts with Tascam US 122
Today's test was done with more care. Both mic and speaker were shielded with pillows first to muffle the sound so my neighbors don't put a gun to my head, and to be sure that nothing was disturbed during the recording session. Results 5 minutes of tone recorded, no audible 'bumps or glitches' enco...

Re: Intermittent Recording Dropouts with Tascam US 122
The log I sent was the log that was saved before I exited Audacity. The dropouts occurred ramdomly and I was not able to repeat them by replaying that portion of the session. The project was never exported, strictly saved to my desktop. From looking at the Log I see no indication that Audacity was ...

Re: Intermittent Recording Dropouts with Tascam US 122
I noticed numerous non-repeatable playback dropouts during the session. Sorry to be a PITA but I want to verify your terminology; by "non-repeatable playback dropouts" are you talking about silences observed while monitoring the recording session which were not there when you played back ...

Re: Crash when apply chain (Clean Speech) on multiple small
Running Win7 with SVN HEAD 29Aug11, I just tried this on all 306 WAV files with no crash. I seem to recall some work being done recently which might affect this problem. You might want to get a more recent build which, for Mac, may be found here: http://www.audacity.homerow.net/index.php?dir=mac/&am...
