Re: Consider a project of only unmodified tracks to be "clea
Would Steve or Gale be willing to commit an experimental (may be in a separate branch) "Advanced Warnings" button on Preference's Warnings panel which (for now) only exposes a switch for "quit nagging me to save a not-very-dirty Project" (with the explanation that simply Importing an audio file woul...

Re: Consider a project of only unmodified tracks to be "clea
So are you in favour of this change, and in favour of listing "hidden" options including the "dangerous" one of disabling "Save changes?"? And if listed, in Wiki or Manual? Perhaps we could start it in Wiki and see how it goes? I'm in favor of adding a "do it this way and don't ask me again" option...

Re: can't reopen a saved project
So now Steve you want us to be able to support two different Project formats ?? I don't think we should drop support for existing projects if we can avoid it. Do you? Open (and the proposed Rename) only not Save/Save As. As for Steve's reasonable complaint about dependencies in a unitary file forma...

Re: can't reopen a saved project
I do not believe this has anything to do with a unitary project file format - I believe that even a unitary project file should be able to have linked (dependent) audio and that the dependency checks would still be necessary.

Re: can't reopen a saved project
Though I have never needed the functionality of linked audio I understand that it can be useful. What I am not sure about is the (code) logic related to "checking dependencies". My understanding is that if I save a project without checking dependencies the AUP file contains a line of text which cont...

Re: export in specified folder, not in "cleaned"
I have also implemented the ("advertised" though missing) feature of applying to audio files listed in a text file. So it seems it can import files from different directories listed in the LOF file, but it merely imports them all into the same project window then exports the mix into a "cleaned" fo...

Re: export in specified folder, not in "cleaned"
Do you want to "vote" for a method to choose the location of the "cleaned" folder? +1 The code for this is fairly simple. Designing the GUI needs a bit of thought. I think that a new button on the "Apply Chain" dialog would do the trick - maybe make two rows - put the "apply to..." buttons on the t...

If we wish to discuss changing this menu we should split this topic…steve wrote:Yes it is, so I was thinking of adding just one new menu item called something like "Track Options..." or "Track Options >"Gale Andrews wrote:The Track Dropdown Menu is very full

Re: A feature I would like........
Only the knob is disabled; you may still double-click on the control to open its dialog box where you may type in values. Does the disabled knob position indicate the control value if the value has been changed by typing? (or if a saved project has a non-zero slider position)? Yes, the knob's posit...

Re: Interface
I agree that stability (to include bug squashing) is number one, features number two and the look of the GUI a distant third (as long as it does not affect usability). When it comes to improving the GUI I believe that font sensitivity (the ability of the user to control the size, and secondarily the...
