Anybody have any ideas on this?
I'm still not getting any noise removal.

Yep, sure I've got 1.3.8.

I checked my preferences again, and I don't seem to actually have the option you're talking about.

I checked my prefrences, and I unchecked "Display VST effects in GUI mode" which is what I think you meant (Is it? What is "GUI"?). Nothing that I'm aware of.
I had downloaded a vst plugin (Glitch) which was causing audacity to crash when I tried to use it, and I later found out it wasn't compatible with audacity. I thought that may have been the problem, so I deleted it, but I still crash when I try to do noise removal.

And to clarify, the problem is recent. I have been able to use noise removal without a problem in the past.
It hasn't worked for my last 2 or 3 projects.

Oh right, sorry. Audacity 1.3 beta with Windows Vista

For some reason, when I open the noise remover and click 'Get Noise Profile,' Audacity crashes.
Does anybody have any idea what may be causing this and how I may fix it?

Same problem as stated in the first post.
